Born in 1946 in Consett County Durham John Armstrong, Poet and Painter, began writing when he was 13 during his time studying holy orders in a monastery in Shropshire.
He wrote his first poem in the early hours of the morning. A time he still finds productive and enchanting to write.
Many years resident in London his work has taken him to China, Sicily, America and Ireland.
